Oct 30th - March 2011
Well, the golf season is coming to a close and the warm weather is far and few between. Well, don't fret why not join up for a little fun with our first ever GA Cup Singles match play event.
We hope to see you soon. There will be a $50 entry fee + sim time cost which will be split between opponents. Projected start date for the event will be between Nov 31st & Jan 1st. Time start will depend on the number of people interested and availability
  • GAO Handicapped event
  • Great gifts and prizes including cash prize to top 2 finishers
  • Different course each Seeding bracket
  • Consolation Bracket (so you're not eliminated right away
Tournament Rules:

Singles match play pits Player A against Player B, hole by Hole. If Player A scores a 4 on the first hole while Player B records a 5, Player A wins the hole. A match that is all square (or tied) after 18 holes continues until there is a winner.

Handicaps will be calculated prior to the event and will be defined and played as follows. Before play begins we will subtract the lower handicap from the higher, then assign the difference to the weaker player. For example if Player A is a 10 Handicap and Player B is a 14 Handicap therefore Player B now takes strokes on the top 4 Handicap holes and Player A will play from scratch.

Match Play Matches do not have to go the full 18 holes. They often do, but just as frequently one player will achieve an insurmountable lead and the match will end early. Say you reach a score of 6-up with 5 to holes to play - you have clenched your victory, and the match is over. You can continue to play all 18 holes but the winner will not change.
